I was born in Oldham in 1943, and have lived in Saddleworth all my life.  Educated at Hulme Grammar Oldham and with no formal training in art, I am therefore self taught.  I have produced an extensive volume of work resulting in significant sales through local galleries such as The Bridge Art Centre in Stalybridge.  My subject matter is mostly the urban landscape. My work is in the main realistic but I like to loosen up relying on the oil medium to produce the spontaneous brush, or pallet knife which can add so much to the finished work.
