Robert Lees Landscape supremo
Robert was born in Royton, Lancashire on 25th November 1949 and has lived in the town ever since.
.Robert’s influences are without question from the impressionist school; Degas – Manet – Monet and especially Renoir also not forgetting the father of impressionism Turner. They were the most wonderful interpreters of light and mood there has been.
The moorland and countryside with lakes, reservoirs and canals around the area where Robert lives inspires him and gives him a wide variation in subject matter. His landscape paintings are usually in mixed media primarily in water colour with pastel, water colour pencil, charcoal and chalk. (There are some in oil). Robert works from home from his garden studio
